Body of Nassa Group GM recovered from Jamuna after 2 days

The body of Nassa Group's general manager was recovered from the Jamuna River today (May 22, 2022), two days after he went missing while bathing in the river in Manikganj's Shibaloy upazila.

The deceased Ash Habib (43) of Bogura district was a resident of Savar area. He was a GM of Nassa group in Ashulia area, reports our Manikganj correspondent quoting Officer-in-Charge of Paturia River Police Station Abu Bakar Siddique

Locals found his body floating in the river and later Paturia River Police recovered the body around 11:00 am today (May 22, 2022), said the OC

According to family, police, and fire service, Habib along with his wife and son went to visit the Jafarganj area in Shibaloy for holiday.

While bathing in the river on Friday, he drowned.

A team from the fire service and river police conducted a rescue operation in the river but Habib could not be found, said family members.

"We were able to identify the body with a photo of Habib provided by his family," said OC Abu Bakar.

The body will be handed over to his family once the legal process is completed, he added.
