Bangladeshi killed in Greece train crash

A Bangladeshi expatriate was killed in a train accident near the city of Larissa in Greece.

The deceased, Md Idris, 31 was a resident of Chattogram's Hathazari upazila.

The accident took place on February 28 as a passenger train with a freight train.

Two of his friends, Jamil and Bachchu, said his body was identified through a DNA test.

Md Ilias, brother of the deceased, said his death was confirmed on Friday night.

"A fire broke out in his bogie. He suffered 80 percent burn injury, that's why his body was identified through DNA test," he said.

At least 57 died and dozens were injured in the accident.
