2 siblings drown to death in Pirojpur pond

Two siblings have drowned to death in a pond at Dakkhin Pottashi village under Indurkani upazila of Pirojpur today.

The deceased Nazmul (8) and his sister Naima (6) were children of Md Sarwar Farazi, reports our Pirojur correspondent.

Family members and villagers found their bodies floating in the pond, said a local of the area.  

Their bodies were recovered and sent them to Indurkani Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared them dead.

Masum Hawlader, member of Pottashi Union Parishad, also confirmed the incident to The Daily Star.
