2 college students killed Narail road accident

Two college students were killed after a brick-laden truck hit their motorcycle in Narail's Sadar upazila yesterday.

The accident took place in Garherhat area on Maijpara-Bunagati road in the afternoon, reports our Benapole correspondent.

The deceased were identified as Badhon, 21, son of Mohabbat Molla of Kalyankhali village and Mehedi Hasan, 20, son of Palash Molla of Kamkhali village in the upazila.

Mehedi was a class XII student of Maijpara Degree College in Narail, and Bandhon was a second-year student of electrical, electronic and telecommunication engineering department at BCMC College of Engineering and Technology in Jashore, said Md Mahmud, officer-in-charge (OC) of Narail Kotwali Police Station.

OC Mahmud said the accident happened when the students were going to Bunagati from Maijpara on a motorcycle.

Mehedi died on the spot. Bandhon was admitted to Jashore General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, he added.
