2 brothers die in Feni road accident

Two brothers died and two men sustained injuries in a road accident on Dhaka-Chattogram Highway, in Feni Sadar upazila, this afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Tushar Chandra Das (35) and Biplob Chandra Das (30), while the injured are Pranab Chandra Das and Sajjad Hossain, reports our local correspondent.

Quoting locals and eyewitnesses, Mahipal Highway Police Officer-in-Charge, Zakir Hossain, said that the four were returning from a hospital in a rented private car. The driver lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree at 12:30pm.

The brothers died on the spot. The injured were rushed to Feni 250-bed General Hospital and later shifted to Chattogram Medical College Hospital, said the OC.

The bodies of the deceased are being kept in the morgue of Feni General Hospital for autopsy, said the OC, adding that a case will be filed in this regard.
