Freedom Fighter QUAMRUL HASAN BHUIYAN passes away

Freedom Fighter, writer, researcher  and Chairman of the Centre for Bangladesh Liberation War Studies, Quamrul Hasan Bhuiyan, passed away at the age of 66 yesterday afternoon at Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka.

He was born on July 24, 1952. In 2018, he received the Bangla Academy Literary Award. After our independence, he joined the military on January 9, 1974. On July 12, 1996, Bhuiyan retired from the military as a major.

He extensively researched on the Liberation War. He wrote 23 books. Some of his renowned works are – Jonojuddher Gonojoddha, Bijoyi Hoye Firbo Noile Firboi Na, 2 Number Sector Ebong A K Force Commander- Khaledar Kotha, and Ekattorer Dinponji.
