Suborna Hasan's 'Love, Life and Other Emotions'

Suborna Hasan's solo exhibition titled Love, Life and Other Emotions, began on August 4 at Café Mango, Dhanmondi. It is open daily from 12 noon to 10pm. The exhibition will conclude on August 31.

Suborna Hasan completed her BFA and MFA from the Department of Printmaking, Faculty of Fine Art, University of Dhaka. “I think printmaking is the greatest technique for capturing the depth of colours, richness and other characteristics,” shares the promising artist. Suborna has participated in many national and international art events at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and Zainul Gallery. In 2016, she received the Kibria Best Young Printmaker Award.

Fifty of her creations are displayed at the exhibition. Her primary muse is love and life. In fact, her works are largely inspired by her emotional experiences. Her art is a reflection of her memories.

She is immensely inspired by the story of Adam and Eve, which she feels symbolises love for all.
