Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul's brother found dead in city

Police recovered the body of Ahmed Miraz, younger brother of noted musician and freedom fighter Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul, from near Kuril flyover in the city early today.
Sub-Inspector of Khilkhet Police Station Golam Faruk said some passers-by informed the police around 1:00am that a body had been lying near the Kuril rail track. “It did not bear injury marks,” he added.
Family members of the deceased said they suspect Ahmed Miraz, 50, was murdered.
Samir Imtiaz, son of Bulbul, a prosecution witness in the war crimes case against former Jamaat chief Ghulam Azam, told The Daily Star around 3:00am that his uncle went missing around 11:00pm.
Officer-in-Charge of Khilkhet Police Station Shamim Hossain said: “The mobile phone of the deceased was ringing when one of our officers reached the scene. He received the call and got Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul at the other end. We then informed him about the incident.”
