2nd Annual Conference of Bangladesh Medical Physics Society (BMPS)

A two day conference was held titled ‘2nd Annual Conference of Bangladesh Medical Physics Society (ACBMPS-2013)’ on March 15-16, 2013, organised by Bangladesh Medical Physics Society (BMPS), with the cooperation  of the United Hospital and The National Institute of Cancer Research and Hospital (NICRH). About 200 local and foreign participants have joined in this conference.

Professor Dr Md Khondhakar Shefyetullah attended as a chief guest in this conference on the first day. As a special guest, a German Medical Physicist Professor Dr Golam Abu Zakaria, Chairman, working group, Medical Physics in developing countries of German Society for Medical Physics (DGMP) was present. The conference was chaired by Professor Dr Santanu Chawdhuri, Directror of Oncology Center, United Hospital limited. cientific papers were presented by P P Chaurasia from Nepal, V Poopathi from India, Professor Dr Golam Abu Zakaria, Dr Hasin Anupama Azhari, Dr Anwarul Islam, Kumaresh Chandra Paul, Dr Kazi Manzur Kader and others.

The second day of the conference was held on March 16, 2013 in National Institute of Cancer Research and Hospital (NICRH), Dhaka where Professor Dr Pran Gopal Datta, Vice Chancellor, BSMMU was present as chief guest.
