Yeafesh Osman, state minister for science, information and communication technology, has said the government is committed to sustainable development of the ICT sector.
He suggested the professionals contribute to the sectoral policy formulation.
Osman was speaking at a seminar on “Perspective Digital Bangladesh: Need of Time”, organised by the Information Technology Management Association of Bangladesh (ITMAB) in Dhaka on Wednesday, according to a press release.
Held at Shilpakala Academy, the seminar was chaired by ITMAB Convener Sufi Faruq Ibne Abubakar.
ITMAB is a platform to share ideas and increase communication between ICT professionals and practitioners from different ICT sectors and the government.

He also suggested establishing a National ICT Institution in addition to developing a proper recruitment guideline for any national ICT project, where local consultant will get equal preference.
