'Himur Maddyha Dupur' launched

Himur Maddyha Dupur, the latest Humayun Ahmed novel centring popular character Himu, was launched yesterday.
The eminent writer unveiled the cover of the book at a programme at Rabindra Sarobar at Dhanmondi in the city.
He also launched an SMS contest on the occasion by sending a text.
To take part in the contest, one has to write HIMU and send it to 2580 from his/her banglalink number. The sender will receive an SMS in reply, which he has to reply by choosing Yes or No by sending another SMS.
Humayun Ahmed said he is amazed at the initiative.
The contest would make reading the book more fun, he added.
Talking to The Daily Star, the celebrated writer said, “It would encourage the reader to read more books and interact with the stories.”
“People are going to love the new idea of answering questions on Himu through SMS,” he hoped.
Solaiman Alam, head of PR and communication marketing, Banglalink, also spoke at the programme.
