Badrinath in for Gambhir

Opener Gautam Gambhir, injured during the practice session on the eve of the fourth one-dayer against Australia, will be out of action for two weeks and has been replaced by Tamil Nadu batsman Subramaniam Badrinath.
Gambhir on Sunday slipped while batting in the nets and sustained a right adductor (groin) muscle strain.
"An MRI scan has not revealed a significant injury to the region, but from initial findings and clinical presentation it appears that he will be unavailable for approximately two weeks," said an Indian board release yesterday.
"The selection committee decided to replace Badrinath in place of Gambhir," it added.
The 27-year-old Badrinath, who is yet to make his international debut, drew the selectors' attention with a double century for India A in their recent series against South Africa A.
