Criminal shot dead

Saiful Islam Shikder, an accomplice of top terror Sahadat of Mirpur area, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in the city's Rampura area yesterday morning.
Khilgaon police said the gunmen called Saiful out of his house at West Rampura at around 9:00am and shot him in his neck, leaving him dead on the spot.
His family said Saiful was a helper of a bus, but Khilgaon police said he was an accomplice of top criminal Sahadat.
The police suspect that said internal feud among the gang members might have led to the killing.
The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.
Saiful's father filed a murder case, but none was arrested in this connection, police said.
