Low quality wheat hinders over 2000 projects in Bogra

Development work of more than 2000 projects in Bogra has not yet started due to the low quality of government-supplied wheat, according to District Relief and Rehabilitation Office (DRRO).

District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer Zillur Rahman said with a view to creating more than 4 lakh additional jobs in rural and urban areas of the district, the government had taken 2250 development projects under TR programme but the progress of the programme is not satisfactory.
The month-long development projects began on December 7 but the progress of the project is only 3.69 percent, whereas the target was 25 percent, said Zillur Rahman.
Only 241 development projects have started out of a total of 2250 projects in the district, sources said.
