Ali College lift Souhardo Cup

The Government Maulana Mohammad Ali College of Kagmari won the Souhardo Cup football tournament after a 1-0 win over Tangail Municipality 1-0 in the final at the local stadium here yesterday.
Masud scored the all-important goal in the fourth minute of the game.
Delwar of the winning side was adjudged the best player-of-the-final while Awwal of Tangail Zila Krira Sangstha was given the award for the player-of-the-tournament after scoring seven goals.
On November 5, Ali College reached the final after defeating Government Saadat College of Karatia in a tiebreaker after the regulation time ended 1-1 in the first semifinal while Tangail Municipality beat Tangail Zila Krira Sangstha, also in tiebreaker after the match remained goalless in the stipulated time in the second semifinal the next day.
After the final, Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) president Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin distributed prizes among the winners.
