Eminent cine-journalist (Editor of Priyojon) Abdur Rahman and filmmaker Golam Rabbani Biplab have been selected for this year's Fazlul Haque Memorial Award, according to a press release.
Fazlul Haque Memorial Award, named after pioneering cine-journalist and director of President (the first film for children made here) late Fazlul Haque, was initiated by his wife, renowned litterateur Rabeya Khatun in 2004. In the previous years the award went to Fazal Shahabuddin and Saidul Anam Tutul (2004); Ahmed Zaman Chowdhury and Chashi Nazrul Islam (2005); Rafuquzzaman and Humayun Ahmed (2006); Hiren Dey and Soovas Dutt (2007).
