Studio owner shot in city

An armed gang shot at a studio owner storming his office in the city last night.
The criminals also took away his mobile phone set.
The victim, Abu Yusuf, 30, was admitted to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) with bullet wounds in his leg.
Yusuf said a gang of three stormed his office at Tikatuli at about 8.00pm and shot in his leg and took away the mobile set.
The criminals also fired two blank shots while fleeing the scene.
Yusuf said some unknown extortionists had demanded Tk 50,000 from him over phone recently.
Sutrapur police said they visited the spot but none was arrested in this connection.
