More market places for city hawkers during Ramadan

In its efforts to rehabilitate the hawkers, the government has decided to earmark more market places for them in the city during the month of Ramadan.
LGRD and Cooperatives Adviser Anwarul Iqbal said this while visiting hawkers' markets, including the ones near Gulshan-1 market, Baitul Mukarram Masjid link road and Postogola-Jurain road and Highway Hawkers' Market, in the city yesterday.
As part of the rehabilitation efforts, the government has already allocated eight places for hawkers to sell their goods everyday while 10 others for weekly sale.
The adviser asked the rehabilitated hawkers to remain aware so that traffic jam is not created near their markets, and to take measures so that the low-income people can buy goods at affordable prices.
