Drama serial “Nupur” on ATN Bangla

Drama serial Nupur will be aired tonight at 8:40 pm on ATN Bangla. Mannan Heera has written the play based on a novel by Neehar Ranjan Gupta. The serial is jointly directed by Aruna Biswas and Mithu Biswas.
The plot of the serial centres on a haunted pair of nupur (anklet). Amit and Manimala find the anklet hidden in an antique almira (closet), which Amit bought from an old Landlord's house. Since then the couple start hearing the sound of someone wearing the anklets walking around. Unbeknown of the anklets' existence, Amit calls on a carpenter to fix the old almira. When the anklets are discovered, everyone is amazed by its dazzling beauty. But one day, in frenzy, Manimala dies dancing with the anklets on. And the story of the cursed anklets is revealed.
Aruna Biswas, Pijush Bandyopadhyay, Shoeb, Moushumi Biswas, Mishti and others play the lead roles in the serial.
