Don't compromise with corrupt suspects: B Chy

Former president AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury yesterday called on the government not to compromise with the corrupt individuals.
“We want to clearly tell the government not to reach a compromise with the corrupt,” said Badruddoza, also the president of Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh (BDB), at a party political training workshop.
“Those who are found innocent of corruption after a trial should be released with honour, but if they are released after being charged and before a trial, people would question the process,” he said.
“Those who are released after a trial would regain their respect and the government would also avoid tough questions,” added the former president.
He further said the government should publicly declare the reasons for releasing those charged with corruption, apologies to the individuals and pay them compensation.
Badruddoza said BDB wants political security and an end to political violence.
