6-yr-old boy rescued 18 days after abduction

Detective Branch (DB) of Police yesterday rescued a six-year-old boy from Noakhali 18 days after he was abducted from Badda in the city and arrested four from Dhaka and Noakhali in this connection.
The arrestees were identified as Billal, Amin Ullah, Mamun and Rowshan Ara.
Police said Billal and some other unidentified criminals kidnapped Sabbir from Mollapara slum at Badda on July 2.
Since then, Billal had been demanding Tk 5 lakh as ransom for Sabbir's release.
Sabbir's father Shahjahan agreed to provide Billal with the money and they selected Sayedabad Janapath Crossing for handing over the ransom on July 18.
As Billal reached the spot a team of DB police arrested him.
During interrogation, Billal informed that Sabbir was kept at West Char Uria of Sudharam in Noakhali under the custody of one Amin Ullah.
Later, DB police and Sudharam police launched a joint raid and rescued Sabbir and arrested Amin Ullah, Mamun and Rowshan Ara.
