Black's much-anticipated album Abar was launched at Bashundhara City yesterday. The album, sponsored by Warid Telecom, has been produced by G-Series. This is the band's first album in five years.
Black's first two albums were Amar Prithibi (2001) and Utshober Por (2003).
The album, as the title suggests, announces the return of Black in the music scene.
Speaking at the press conference Jon (vocalist of the band) said, "This is a great occasion for us. We had plans to release this album much earlier, but due to the inevitable circumstances we had to put it on hold."
Jon thanked Sumon of Aurthohin; Iqbal Asif Jewel, guitarist of Miles; lyricist Zubair Hussain Imon and sound engineer Isha Khan Durey for their support.
Nazmul Huq Bhuiyan, proprietor G Series; Asif Ahmed, marketing services manager, Warid Telecom; Zeeshan K Huq, senior manager (marketing) Warid Telecom and musician Sumon were also present at the press conference.
Speaking on the occasion, Zeeshan K Huq said, "We are keen to support the local talents in the music industry as we intend to foster creativity and talent in the sector."
Abar includes ten tracks -- Manush pakhir gaan, Abar, Abohoman, Obosh, Shorobidhdho, Ei gaan, Na thaka jibon, Korun, Chinho and Keno.
