Hasina in Florida for ear treatment

Awami League (AL) President Sheikh Hasina yesterday flew to Florida's Orlando from Washington DC for follow-up ear treatment slated for today.
She went to the US capital one day after the government freed her on June 11 to facilitate her treatment in the US.
The former prime minister's ears were badly damaged in a grisly grenade attack on an Awami League rally in August 21, 2004 in which at least 24 people died.
Hasina would fly to Toronto tomorrow to meet her daughter Saima Wazed Putul, reports US-based Bangla news agency American News Agency (ANA) quoting Hasina's aide Abdus Sobhan Golap.
Leaders of Canada chapter Awami League and Hasina's younger sister Sheikh Rehana would greet her at the airport.
Rehana went to Toronto to invite the Awami League president to the wedding of her son Rezwan Siddiqui Boby.
