Father, son jailed in arms case in Sirajganj

Sirajganj District and Sessions Judge's Court yesterday sentenced a father and his son to 10 years rigorous imprisonment (RI) in an arms case.
The convicts are Abu Sayeed, 48, and his son Mahbubul Alam, 21, of Patirampur village in Tarash upazila.
Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested Abu Sayeed and his son Mahbubul Alam with a foreign made revolver and 15 bullets from their house at remote Patirampur village in Tarash upazila on June 26, 2007, goes the prosecution.
On investigation, police submitted charge sheet in court against the two.
