Fugitive criminal arrested in C'nawabganj

Police arrested a fugitive criminal from Nayalavanga village of Shibganj upazila early yesterday.
The arrestee is Abdus Salek, 35, of Chhabania-Kalinagar in Sundorpur union under Sadar upazila.
Acting on a tip-off, Shibganj and Sadar police conducted a joint raid at Nayalavanga village and arrested him at around 2:30am.
Later, the arrestee was produced before a court here and sent to jail.
Salek is an accused in several cases including ones for murder, police said.
