Cultural programme highlighting the contributions of Tagore, Nazrul and Sukanto

The Satkhira District Sangskritik Parishad celebrated the birth anniversaries of Rabindranath, Nazrul and Sukanto with several programmes. The objective was to promote the ideologies of the three poets among the youngsters of the district.
Satkhira District Sangskritik Parishad organised elaborate programmes including discussion, recitation of poems, play, songs, dances and more.
To mark the occasion, a discussion was held at Satkhira Paurosabha auditorium with Satkhira District Sangskritik Parishad's Vice-President Rafiqul Islam in the chair.
A discussion and cultural function in which Satkhira Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Kefayetullah was the chief guest while Satkhira Police Super Mirza Abdullahel Baki and Zilla Parishad's Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Gaus were the special guests.
Prof. Abdul Hamid and Prof. Kazi Waliullah participated in the discussion on the life and literary works of Biswakabi Rabindranath Tagore, National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam and poet Sukanto Bhattacharya respectively.
Among others, district information officer Nurul Huda; Principal Asit Kumar Majumdar; public prosecutor advocate Tapan Kumar Chakraborty; Syed Iftekhar Ali; Kabir Uddin Ahmed; Henry Sardar; Nasrin Khan Lipi and Saidur Rahman also took part in the discussion.
Paying rich tributes to Tagore, Nazrul and Sukanto, the speakers lauded these great personalities for their immense contribution to Bengali literature.
After the discussion, a cultural function was held at the same venue.
