Three killed in road accidents

At least three people were killed and five others injured in separate road accidents in Gaibandha and Jhenidah in last two days.
Our Gaibandha correspondent reports: One person was killed and five others were injured in a road accident near Sakoa bridge on Gaibandha-Palashbari road yesterday.
The dead was identified as Ashraful Alam, 25, of Chithulia village under Shaghata upazila.
Police said a Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTC) bus hit a betel leaf loaded tractor trolley from behind near Sakoa bridge on Gaibandha-Palashbari road. Due to the hit the tractor trolley skidded off the road leaving Ashraful dead on the spot and five betel leaf trader injured.
The injured were treated at Palashbari Health Complex.
Our Jhenidah correspondent adds: Two including a minor girl were killed in separate road accidents in Jhenidah on Thursday night.
The victims were identified as Chittaranjan Biswas, 62 of Sarabaria village under Harinakundo upazila and Sumaya Khatun, 4, daughter of one Delwar Hossain of Gobindapur village under Sadar upazila.
Police and locals said Chittaranjan was killed when a human hauler (Nosimon) ran over him on Jhenidah-Harinakundo road while he was crossing the road. On the other hand, Sumaya was killed on the spot while a Dhaka-bound bus hit her from behind.
The bodies were sent to Jhenidah sadar hospital for autopsy.
