Lightning kills 6 in 3 districts

At least six people were killed and six others injured when they were struck by thunderbolt in Kushtia, Chapainawabganj and Netrakona districts yesterday.
Our Kushtia Correspondent reports: Three farmers were killed and two others injured when they were working at a field at Badiapara of Gangni upazila in Meherpur.
The dead are Makbul Hossain, Nazrul Islam and Arfan Ali while the injured are Kamal and Nizam.
In Chapainawabganj, two brothers were killed and their father was injured when they were harvesting paddy at Billchoribeel under Godagari upazila.
The dead are Azizur Rahman, 22, and Abdur Rahman Babu, 19.
Injured father Md Yousuf were released after first aid treatment.
A young man was killed and three others were injured when they were harvesting paddy at a field at Jabrikanda under Sadar upazila, said our Netrakona correspondent.
Rehan Mia,20, was killed on the spot. Seriously injured Abul Kashem was undergoing treatment at Netrakona Sadar Hospital till filing of the report in the evening.
