Australia says to quit EBRD in 2010

Australia said on Monday that it would withdraw as a shareholder of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in 2010 after judging that its work was nearing completion in the former Soviet bloc.
The development came ahead of the appointment of new EBRD president Thomas Mirow, who will take over in July.
