Kumudini College students stage anti corruption play

Students of the Government Kumudini Women's College, Tangail staged an anti-corruption play in the college premises on April 17.
They also took part in essay writing and debate competition.
The college organised the programme on the occasion of an oath- taking ceremony against corruption and prize distribution among the winners of the competitions.
A second year student of the college, Amena Islam Nipa has scripted the play Chakrir Interview, while students Sonia and Jhuma Akter, Khaleda Akter and Amena Islam performed on stage.
Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) chairperson Lt General (retd) Hasan Mashhud Chowdhury was present as chief guest.
Earlier, he administrated an oath to the students and teachers of the institution to stand up against corruption.
With principal of Kumudini Women's College, Nazir Ahmed in the chair, the function was addressed by director general of ACC, Abu Taleb Miah; member secretary of ACC, Tangail, Khan Mohammad Khaled and a student of the college Fahima Akter.
Later, the chief guest distributed prizes among the winners of the essay writing competition. Intermediate students of the college Faomia Akter, Tias Kuri and Shawshata Kasfia Sneha received the first, second and third prize respectively.
The chief guest also distributed prizes among the participants of the debate on 'It is not the masses but politicians who are the main reason behind corruption'.
Intermediate first year students of the college Kaniz Fatema, Zakia Sultana Merry and Iffat Ara spoke in favour while second year students Mahfuza Akter (captain), Fatema-tuz-Zohra and Aporna took an opposite stand.
