“Closeup 1 Tomakei Khujchhey Bangladesh” is back

The popular talent hunt Closeup 1 Tomakei Khujchhey Bangladesh is back again. Naushad Chowdhury, Brands and Development Director,Unilever Bangladesh Limited made the announcement yesterday at a press conference held at Spectra Convention Centre. Enayetur Rahman, managing director, ntv and Geeteara Safiya Choudhury, chairperson of Adcom were present at the event.
The slogan of this year's talent hunt is Gao Bangladesh Gao. The event will provide a platform to talented young singers, giving them an opportunity to showcase their skills.
This is the third talent hunt programme by Unilever under the banner of Closeup 1. The first Closeup 1 was held in 2005. The second contest was held in the following year.
Shortly after its introduction the programme attained huge popularity among the audience, becoming one of the most watched programmes in television.
Anyone between the ages of 16 -30 will be eligible to take part in the event. To take part in the audition rounds, participants will have to obtain a registration number, by dialling 01841111111, by March 31. Registration can also be done online at www.closeup1.com. Audition rounds will start from April 1.
This year auditions will be held in Chittagong, Comilla, Sylhet, Mymensingh, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal and Dhaka.
Aktel is the registration partner, Radio Today is the radio partner and BD Info is the web partner of the contest. Adcom and Market Access Providers Ltd will also be supporting the event. Amitav Reza is the official creative director of Closeup 1.
