Dutch coaches convinced

Dutch coaches Lodewijk de Kruif and Rene Koster backtracked from their 'unacceptable' demands and agreed to guide the Bangladesh national football team in the upcoming AFC Challenge Cup Qualifiers.
“The misunderstanding between us has been cleared and we have reached an agreement as both parties [BFF and coaches] sent their respective draft agreements. I am hoping that De Kruif and Koster will be here on February 22,” Bangladesh Football Federation's president Kazi Salahuddin told reporters at his office yesterday.
The two coaches had left the BFF in a quandary by attaching some preconditions for their 12-day stint during the AFC Challenge Cup Qualifiers where they would have had the right to cancel the agreement unilaterally. The preconditions also included sending a third coach in case of their unavailability, even though full salary would have to be paid in advance. They also wanted that BFF made sure of taxes paid both in Bangladesh and the Netherlands.
But, the BFF replied strongly, opposing their ideas and asked them to let the BFF know by Monday night.
“I don't want to undermine the coaches by letting you know the process of our negotiation but I can say that the coaches will get 50 per cent of the money after their arrival and the remaining 50 per cent during the tournament,” said the BFF boss.
“However, I can say that we have had a good experience through this agreement and understood how expensive and difficult it is to sign quality coaches. I think we can do such things smoothly in future,” said the BFF boss adding that they would be trying to sign the final two-year deal with De Kruif and Koster in line with the memorandum of understanding they signed earlier in January.
