'Injuries not serious'

The medical team gave their recommendation to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) yesterday regarding the status of the six injured players.
Dr. Debashish Chowdhury, BCB's physician, said that there were no serious injuries but the board can send star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan abroad for a second opinion.
“What I can say is that there are no serious injuries. We gave our recommendation and observation to the concerned authorities. What I also suggest is that the board send Shakib abroad for a second opinion, but he is fit to play the upcoming series in Sri Lanka,” said Chowdhury.
Earlier the board said that they were concerned about six players -- Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Ziaur Rahman, Shakib and Mahmudullah Riyad -- who have injury worries ahead of the Tigers' next assignment in Sri Lanka. The Bangladesh team
will fly to Colombo on February 28 to play two Tests, three ODIs and
a T20I.
