Road crash kills student in city

A college student from Sirajganj was killed when a bus hit him in front of Mohakhali bus terminal in the capital yesterday.
Mamunur Rashid Mamun, 26, was a student of Chouhali Degree College in Sirajganj.
The Gazipur-bound bus hit him when he was crossing the road around 3:00pm. Seriously injured, Mamun was taken to Mohakhali Metropolitan Hospital.
He was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead at about 5:30pm.
Mamun lived in Laksam, Comilla, where he worked at a private firm, said his cousin Jewel Rana over the phone.
He was at Mohakhali on his way to Sirajganj to take an examination there.
Tejgaon police seized the bus and arrested the driver.
