Contest held at 6 more schools

With the school activation rounds of the Spelling Bee around halfway through, the competition is getting fiercer every day as students are trying their best to make sure they move on to the divisional rounds.
Champs21 visited four schools in Dhaka yesterday. From Saint Gregory's High School, the qualifiers were Joy Ganguly (Class 9), Kazi Farhan Hossain Purba (Class 10) and Abdullah Jahed Sumon (Class 9).
Saint Xavier Francis Girls' High School saw younger qualifiers. The three top spellers were Fahmida Tasnim (Class 6), Nabila Mubassara (Class 8) and Shahria Jahan Monisha (Class 10).
The other two schools were Manarat International School and Chittagong Grammar School. The qualifiers from Manarat were Raiyan Ishrak Ahsan (Class 9), Mahzabin Amin (Class 9) and Faisal Bin Ibrahim (Class 7). From the other school qualified Tahmid Kazi (Class 8), Tanisha Guha (Class 7) and Helen Mahmood (Class 8).
In Khulna, two schools were visited. From South Valley International English School won two students -- Farzana Hossain Mim and Syeda Jill Anjuman, both from class 9.
The other school in Khulna was SOS Hermann Gmeiner School, from where the three students to get the Golden Tickets were Rajin Binte Reaz (Class 9), Samia Tasnim Ahona (Class 7) and Khandakar Nabil Hasan (Class 8).
Anyone who did not qualify through their school can still participate through the online game on www.champ21.com.
The Spelling Bee finals are to be held in June.
