Niaz now in second

GM Niaz Murshed is in the second position of the Chennai Super Kings 5th International Grandmasters Chess Tournament at the close of the ninth round held in Chennai, India yesterday.
Niaz drew with Indian GM MR Lalith Babu in the ninth round to secure seven points and shared the second position along with 10 other players.
GM Ziaur Rahman also drew his ninth round board with IM Ramnath. Zia, who is in the third position along with 10 other players, secured 6.5 points while Anisuzzaman Jewel has five points.
Jamal Uddin, and Rana Chowdhury earned 4.5 points each while Kazi Taherul Islam and SM Sharon earned four points each.
