Three hardened outlaws held

Police arrested three top outlawed party cadres and recovered arms and ammunition in separate raids in the district on Thursday morning.
Tipped off, Kumarkhali police raided a hideout and arrested Alauddin, 36, and Farid, 32, after a gunfight at Charbhabanipur at about 6:30am, police said.
They are close accomplices of outlawed New Biplobi Communist Party (NBCP) leader Akdil who was killed in 'crossfire' with police on February 1.
One SMG, one rifle and 55 bullets were seized from their possession.
Alauddin and Farid were accused in several extortion and abduction cases filed with Khoksa and Kumarkhali police stations, police said.
In another raid at Khemirdia village in Bheramara upazila at about 8:30am, police arrested Tuhin Hossain, 33, a top cadre of outlawed Biplobi Communist Party.
Tuhin is accused in several abduction, robbery and extortion cases filed with Bheramara and Mirpur police stations, police said.
After interrogation at Kushtia police lines under supervision of Kushtia Superintendent of Police Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, the three were produced before district Judicial Magistrate's Court that sent them to jail.
