National Film Award 2011 announced

The National Film Awards for the year 2011 have been announced. The government selected 25 artistes, technicians and the Department of Films and Publication (DFP) for the awards in 24 categories, according to a government notification dated January 9, 2013.
Noted film actor Abdur Razzak has been selected for the Lifetime Achievement Award. “Guerrilla” won the best movie award for the year while Nasiruddin Yousuff was judged as the best director for the film. Producers of “Guerrilla” Esha Yousuff and Faridur Reza Sagar are to receive awards.
“Al-Badr” and “Loknayak Kangal Harinath” won as best documentary films. Fakhrul Arefin and DFP will receive awards for producing the documentaries, respectively.
Joya Ahsan was judged as best actress for her outstanding performance in the film “Guerrilla”, while Ferdous Ahmed won the best actor award for the film “Kushum Kushum Prem”.
The award for the best actor in a supporting role went to MA Alamgir for the film “Ke Apon Ke Por”, while Farida Akhtar Babita bagged the best actress in a supporting role award for the same film. Semanti bagged the best child artiste award for the film “Khandagalpo 1971”.
Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal won as the best storywriter for the film “Amar Bondhu Rashed”. Nasiruddin Yousuff and Ebadur Rahman shared awards in two categories -- best playwright and best dialogue writer.
Habib Wahid won the best music director award for the film “Projapoti” while L. Apu Rosario won the best choreographer award for the film “Amar Bondhu Rashed”.
Kumar Bishwajit bagged the best male singer award for singing in the film “Ma Amar Chokher Moni” while Nazmun Munira Nancy won the best female singer award for a song in the film “Projapoti”.
Emon Saha won best composer award for the film “Kushum Kushum Prem” while Shafiq Tuhin bagged the best lyricist award for a song of the film “Projapoti”.
Shatabdi Wadud and Misha Sawdagar were jointly judged as best villains for the films “Guerrilla” and “Boss Number One” respectively.
Shimul Yousuff (best costume designer), Samir Ahmed (best editor), Animesh Aich (best art director) and Md. Ali Babul (best makeup man) bagged national awards for the “Guerrilla” while Ratan Paul was judged as the best sound recorder for the film “Amar Bondhu Rashed”.
