V-Day tennis underway

Runner Victory Day Open Tennis Tournament got underway yesterday at the National Tennis Complex in Ramna where ten players moved to the second round in the men's singles.
Amol Roy, Jamil Bhuiyan, Arif Hossain, Mofazzal Hossain, Sajib Pashi, Munir Hossain, Ranjan Ram, Asmot Ullah, Dipu Lal won their respective matches in the opening round. Earlier, state minister for youth and sports Ahad Ali Sarker inaugurated the meet which comprises six events -- men's singles, doubles, women's singles, doubles, mixed doubles and seniors 50+.
