Nadif, Dhiman hit hundreds

Centuries from Nadif Chowdhury and Dhiman Ghosh put their respective teams, Chittagong and Rangpur, in strong positions yesterday as both these sides headed towards victory against Dhaka and Barisal respectively.
While Khulna piled on the runs against Sylhet as they took a lead of 112 runs, reigning champions Rajshahi gained the upper hand against Dhaka Metro after bowling them out for 129 runs.
CHITTAGONG V DHAKA
Nadif's century ensured that Dhaka post 401 before being bowled out at the MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong. Dhaka, who were 123 for 3 overnight, rode on some good batting from Nadif and Nazmul Milon, 77. Yasir Arafat was the top wicket-taker for Chittagong as he finished with figures of 3 for 66.
BARISAL V RANGPUR
The century from Dhiman, who ended the day on 142 not out, led Rangpur's strong reply against Barisal as the team finished the day on 360 for 7 at Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi. Half-centuries from Sohrawardi Shuvo and Mahmudul Hasan helped Rangpur extend their lead. Discarded national pacer, Syed Rasel was Barisal's best bowler as he picked up three wickets.
SYLHET V KHULNA
Khulna continued to dominate the game as they finished the day at 356 for 7 at the Rangpur Cricket Garden. Veteran Tushar Imran remained unbeaten on 145 and guided Khulna's reply. Sylhet's Enamul Haque Jr took three wickets and was his side's top wicket-taker.
RAJSHAHI V DHAKA METRO
In a match favouring the bowlers, Rajshahi, who had an overnight score of 235 for 6 were dismissed for 256 in the morning at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. In reply though, Dhaka Metro, were bundled out for 129 as pacer Shafiul Islam ran through their batting order with his 4 for 47. Rajshahi's second innings began during the last session of the day and they scored 67 runs for the loss of one wicket.
