Tamim playing

The fear that Tamim Iqbal might not play the second and final Test against the West Indies has been quashed yesterday as the Bangladesh team management declared the left-handed opener fit for the match.
The Test match starts at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium here today.
Tamim sustained a tendon injury during the first Test in his left elbow and as he was nursing the injury, Khulna batsman Anamul Haque has been called up as back-up for him. Anamul already joined the squad yesterday morning.
Tamim, who played a stroke-filled 72 in the first innings of the first Test, looked fine while batting in the nets during a practice session yesterday and soon after he completed batting, the team management declared him fit.
"Tamim felt fine while batting and we also feel he has recovered sufficiently from the muscle tendon injury to play tomorrow," in-formed team physio Vibhav Singh yesterday.
It has also been declared that Anamul will remain with the squad as the 15th member.
It was however still uncertain that who would open the innings with Tamim as the team think-tank was pondering changes following Junaed Siddiqui's failures in the first Test where he scored 7 and 20. It was however not the scores rather the way the left-hander batted against the West Indies pace attack that forced the think-tank to think twice.
Nazimuddin may open the innings if the axe falls on Junaed, who even struggled against pace bowling in the nets here. The team management was in two minds about him as some were of the opinion that it would not be a good idea to drop a player after a poor match.
