Road accidents kill 3

At least three people were killed in separate road accidents in Comilla and Barisal yesterday.
A CORRESPONDENT from Comilla adds: At least two people were killed and three others injured in a road accident on Megna-Gomti bridge on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Daudkandi upazila on Sunday.
The dead were identified as microbus driver Shawkat, 30, of Shaidnagar village in Daudkandi upazila and Babu, 27, of Shasital village in Burichang upazila.
Police said the accident occurred at about 2.30pm when a Dhaka-bound passenger bus collided head-on with a Chittagong-bound microbus, leaving Shawkat and Babu dead on the spot and three others injured.
The critically injured were sent to Daudkandi Health Complex.
Our correspondent from Barisal reports: A minor girl was crushed under the wheels of coach on Barisal-Dhaka highway in Natunhut area under Babuganj upazila at about 10:00am yesterday.
Witnesses said the accident occurred while Ria Moni, 11, was crossing the road on the way to her maternal grand mother's house, leaving her dead on the spot.
