“Charulata” on Channel i
To celebrate the 151st birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, Impress Telefilm has made a digital film based on the much-adapted story, “Noshto Nir”. The film is titled “Charulata”.
Directed by Saiful Islam Mannu, the movie features Ilias Kanchon, Sajal, Kumkum Hasan, Mita Nur and Shahidul Alam Sachchu.
The world premiere of “Charulata” will be aired on Channel i today, after the 2pm news.

“Hoimonti” on ntv
One of the most acclaimed stories by Rabindranath Tagore, “Hoimonti”, has been adapted into a one-hour play, under the title “Shishir”, which will be aired at 9pm on ntv.
The adaptation has been done by Ayon Chowdhury, while the play has been directed by Nahid Babu. Prova plays the title role in the drama, while other actors include Masud Ali Khan, Chitralekha Guha, Kumkum Hasan and Ripa.
