Shamsher Chowdhury

Shamsher Chowdhury (Rusho), a noted columnist and younger brother of late National Prof Kabir Chowdhury and Shaheed Munier Chowdhury, died of cardiac arrest at Square Hospitals in the capital on Saturday.
He left behind his wife, one son, one daughter, a grandson, three brothers, four sisters and a host of friends and admirers to mourn his death, said a press release.
He worked in different positions in ICDDR,B, Asian Development Bank, World Food Programme and RDRS.
His qulkhwani will be held on May 1 at Darul Afia Arcadia, 20 Central Road, Dhanmondi after Asr prayers.
Shamsher was buried in Banani graveyard after namaz-e-janaza at Central Road which was attended, among others, by Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Abul Kalam Azad.
