Qayyum Chowdhury exhibition opens today

Under the title “Quest for Self”, a two-week exhibition featuring the works of veteran painter Qayyum Chowdhury is being held at Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts in Dhaka.
The exhibition, hosted by Bengal Gallery, celebrates Chowdhury's 80th birthday, and begins today.
Noted artist Murtaja Baseer, author Syed Shamsul Haq, Professor Emeritus Anisuzzaman and theatre personality Ramendu Majumdar will jointly inaugurate the exhibition.
On the occasion of the exhibition, a press conference was held at Bengal Café yesterday.
Artists Qayyum Chowdhury, Rafiqun Nabi; publisher and author Mofidul Haq; art critic Abul Monsur; Subir Chowdhury, director, Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts, spoke at the programme. Sarwar Jahan, manager of Bengal Gallery, read out an article on the artist and his works.
The exhibition ends on March 22.
