Where the poem ends and song begins

Marking 150th birth anniversary of Nobel laureate Bengali poet Rabindranath Tagore, two audio CDs featuring Tagore songs and poems were launched at Liberation war Museum premises on February 8.
Noted Tagore singer Sadi Mohammad has recorded songs for the album “Sharthok Janom Amar”, while renowned singer Rezwana Chowdhury Bonna has recorded songs for the album “Janani Bashundhara”. Eminent Bangladeshi elocutionist Iqbal Bahar Chowdhury has recited Tagore's poems that have been included in both CDs. Under the label of Country Music, Sadi Mohammad has directed music for the albums.
Former Chief Justice Muhammad Habibur Rahman unveiled the albums as chief guest, while Professor Emeritus Anisuzzaman presided over the programme. Following a discussion, Iqbal Bahar Chowdhury read out poems and Sadi Mohammad rendered songs from the albums.
The performer duo presented recitation of lyrics and rendition of songs, one after another. “Aguner Poroshmoni Chhoao Praney” was their first offering. Iqbal Bahar Chowdhury recited, “Tumi Ki Keboli Chhobi”, while Sadi Mohammad rendered “Nayon O Shamukhey Tumi Nai”. The audience responded with rounds of applause.
The artiste duo also performed “Krishnakoli Ami Tarei Boli”, “Tumi Shondhyar Meghmala”, “Neel Naboghoney Ashar Gagoney”, “Shokatorey Oi Kadichhey Shakoli”, “Anandolokey Mongolalokey” and “Sharthok Janom Amar”.
Md. Fariduddin on tabla and Daulatur Rahman on keyboard instrumentally assisted the featured performers. Kazi Madina emceed the event.
