Prof Omar made VC of IUB

The Chancellor of the university President Zillur Rahman has appointed Prof M Omar Ejaz Rahman vice chancellor (VC) to Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), effective from January 26.
Prof Omar was the pro-VC of the university since April, 2006 and VC (in-charge) since January 2011, said a press release.
He is also professor of Demography and director of the Centre for Health, Population and Development at IUB.
