Fazlul Haque Memorial Award
Anupam Hayat and ER Khan take the laurels
Film historian and critic Anupam Hayat and filmmaker ER Khan will receive this year's Fazlul Haque Memorial Award. The award giving ceremony will be held on October 26.
The award was launched in 2004, named after Haque, one of the pioneering cine-journalists of the country. Haque was the editor of the magazine “Cinema”. He was the director of one of the earliest films for children, titled “President”. He was born in Bogra in 1930.
Apart from crests, the recipients will receive Taka 25,000 each.
So far, film related personalities including Soovas Dutta, Amjad Hossain, Morshedul Islam, Humayun Ahmed, Hiren Dey, Syed Shamsul Haq, Chinmay Mutsuddi, Saidul Anam Tutul, Fazal Shahabuddin, Chashi Nazrul Islam and Golam Rabbani Biplab have received this award.
