Obituary

Munshi Siddique Ahmed, an eminent rice scientist and former associate director of Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI), passed away at his residence on Wednesday night due to old age complications at the age of 83, says a press release.
He left behind his three sons and three daughters to mourn his death.
He was honoured with Kazi Mahbubullah Trust Gold Medal, Independence Day Award and Bangabandhu Award.
BRRI scientists, officials and employees condoled his death.
