End the enclaves!

An informative, front page report and photographs alongside the subject was published in local English daily on 6th. June. It was something about which most of us are not usually aware of! However, those who live in the enclaves are neither Bangladeshis nor Indians; literally and factually!
As reported; it felt good to read that at least Bangladesh has a more humane and liberal attitude towards the Indians; living in the Indian enclaves inside Bangladesh! Unfortunately, the same is not the case for Bangladeshis, living in Bangladesh enclaves inside Indian Territory. They live within a jail like barbed wire fencing, physically isolated from their Indian neighbors, with their movements and social contacts; very restricted; some-what like living in a prison!
Why cannot the two countries sort it out rationally, and let the enclaves become the territorial parts of the country which surrounds it? The people should also be free to choose if they want to exchange their properties, and go over to the neighboring country and settle there; if they so desire.
The official land-locked island of one country in the other country's territory, is abnormal, and should be done away with. I cannot understand why our two friendly countries sort out this unnecessary irritating matter; after all nothing very valuable is at stake?
